Our Elk hunts take place in elk areas 84,86, 87 and 92. Tags are allocated through a draw system for a "GENERAL" elk license and limited quota cow/calf licenses. Our hunt area is located in the vicinity of 3 State elk feeding grounds. The herd is primarily a "resident" herd in addition to a migratory herd that arrives later in the season. We usually access the hunt areas by horseback depending on the time of season and weather conditions. Several great bulls are taken from our region every year. Access by motorized vehicles is strictly prohibited in the much of this hunt area. Combination hunts for both deer and are elk possible by hunting the early season for elk. Elk Hunts for our rifle combination hunts a held in Late September when you'll find many of the bulls are still bugling. Moose hunts are in area 25
