Mule Deer Hunting

Mule deer hunts take place in Region H and are outfitted right from the comforts of the Lodge. Most hunts will require a short horseback ride into the backcountry to reach your hunting area. Generally rides are less than two hours. Hunting high country mule deer requires being physically fit as there is some rugged terrain to navigate. These deer don't get big by hanging around in easily accessible areas! If you are truly interested in hunting a Trophy Buck, please make sure you are up for the physical demands of such a hunt. We make every effort to limit the number of our hunts to only six per year. This ensures that the area is not over hunted and increases your odds of taking home a trophy class buck. Scouting is a major part of our summer and spring time activities. We spend several months before deer season opens, scouting our hunting area for big bucks. We enjoy keeping in touch with our hunters throughout the pre-season, often sending them pictures and e-mail of what we are seeing on our recent scouting trips.
