Kirby was born and raised in the plains of Eastern Colorado and moved to Wyoming to attend college and decided this is where he wanted to call “home”. His love of the outdoors and passion for his horses is evident to all who accompany him. Active in rodeo since high school, this cowboy still finds time for the thrill of the sport from time to time.
Melanie is without a doubt is a rarity. Spending her childhood hunting the sagebrush desert of Eastern Oregon, and then spending several years in Northern California, she came to Wyoming for the love of hunting and the outdoors. Pursuing trophy Mule Deer is her obsession. She enjoys introducing others to the outdoors, good horses and good times!
A seasoned guide & outfitter, in 2018 Melanie was chosen among six finalists to become the winner of The Extreme Huntress Competition. Contestants were judged by a panel of outdoor industry experts based upon their abilities to respond to a series of challenges designed to simulate close encounters with wildlife in a controlled setting.
Now in its 10th year, the competition is wildly popular among contestants and fans. The Extreme Huntress Competition continues to set the bar for serious outdoors women, while at the same time providing positive role models for women who are new to hunting, shooting and other traditional outdoor sports.
